Scientific Interests
Theoretical Chemistry and Molecular Spectroscopy. Examination of the fundamental problems such as electronic structure, nature of the bonds and proton donor or proton acceptor ability of transition metal complexes. Molecular Spectroscopy studies of intermolecular interactions, especially neutral and ionic hydrogen bonding as well their participation in proton transfer processes.
Awards
Discovery of the novel intermolecular Hydrogen bonding with d-electrons of transition metal atom as well as hydride ligand of the transition metal and main groups hydrides. The elucidation of their nature, structure and the determination of the H-bond and following low temperature proton transfer leading to classical and non classical cationic hydrides in different solvents .Determination of the ion pairs stabilized by H-bond, formed after proton transfer.
Additional

Over 250 papers in Russian and International journals, two Chapters in the books: "Hydrogen bonds and chemical properties of organic compounds" in "Hydrogen bond", Editor: N.D. Sokolov, Moscow, 1981 and reference 3, as well as modern reviews (references 4-7)
